MMMMMMM...CANDY!
Found some old cans of Candy & Metalflake Enamel, so I decided to paint Cam-Air Candy Red! First I sprayed a coat of Flat White over the smooth primer. Then I masked off the White Top. Next I sprayed on a couple coats of Tamiya Siler Leaf. Then I applied Testors Ruby Red Metalflake around the bottom of the body. Last I sprayed a few coats of Testors Candy red over the whole body. It's about a week later and the Candy Enamel is almost dry... More Coming...

DETAILS...I painted the inside with Flat Black, including the area inside the grill opening. Broken Glass! I built the Cam-Air from a built-up-glue bomb 57 Chevy. The rear window was broken, but I managed to get it un-glued and cleaned up. I went ahead and installed the cracked rear window. It reminds me of the Cam-Air beginnings. When the interior in place, it looks like the Rear Speakers are Big enough to crack some glass. Mouse Ears!I won this antenna several years ago in a raffle at my first NNL. I am finally going to use it on the Cam-Air! More Coming...

FIXING THE CRACK!I decided to add window posts on the rear window to cover the crack. I used half round plastic strip for the posts... I used Formula 560 glue to attach the posts to the window. Cracks Gone! The window posts were then covered with Chrome Bare Metal Foil. More Coming...

DETAILS!I painted the area around the Zinger Supercharger with Tamiya Flat Black. Then I glued it in. Drilled a hole for the antenna and attached it with Zap-A-Gap. Found some old Styline Chrome Bullets that fit just right. Don't forget the Goodguys Decal! More Coming...

JUST A FEW MORE DETAILS...The Tail Lights are from a 12th scale Cord. I attached them with 2-sided Foam Tape. The Chevy script is from a 16th scale 57 Chevy. I cut the Chevy Script from the Big V and glued it in place with Formula 560 Glue. I used an X-Acto Knife to hold the piece while gluing. Here is the Script in place. I also found some 59 Impala Tail Lights that fit on the Fins just right. Well, that's about it, a little touch up and Cam-Air is Finished! Finished Photos Coming Soon...
