Perfect composition - Everything fits perfectly. Extra bonus points for mentioning Speed Racer.
That green paint, can it be hand brushed or does it need to be sprayed? It's fantastic.

Darn! So no "Holts automotive Hyundai Teal green metallic" for this hand brusher. Maybe Duplicolor makes the color in a spray can ?

I really like this build , do you have any in progres shots ? I'm sure the guys here would like to see the work you put in it !
Just a thought- did you think about putting some roundel style numbers on the Jag ? If its a race car, its gotta have a number !

Just a thought- did you think about putting some roundel style numbers on the Jag ? If its a race car, its gotta have a number ! I have yet to take any progress shots of my builds as I've never really seen the need to but I see now how some may tend to appreciate WIP shots to provide an "insight" as to how/what materials are being used..I can honestly say though some of my customs-in their initial stages look like a total disaster-But,as they say- "You've got to break a few eggs to make an omlette !"Naturally the number makes a lot of sense but ideally needs to be on bonnet, doors and rear which to me would detract from the cars appearance, which was my reason for not wanting to add them.

I understand , and it looks great ! The truck itself reminds me of the experimental turbine trucks Ford built in the early 1960's .

Sorry for the late reply - Had several days without reliable internet access (don't ask) and it doesn't seem like it's completely solved... I had asked because I'm doing my modeling in the bedroom so spraying is out of the question. And I'm also too lazy to walk four floors down to the basement to 1) See that I still suck at using spraycans (seems to be like ia science of ts own, that) and 2) Hear my landlady complaining about another fake asthma seizure due to my spraying.

I understand completely ! My mom used to complain about the paint fumes coming out of basement, now my wife does the same thing ! In the summer I'll paint outside, but ya gotta watch out for those kamikaze bugs diving straight into the paint .

Haha!
Yep, tried the garden once - The insects LOVED the shiny glossy paint. Which why both me and my wife resorted to water-based acrylics.

Hey guys-hear you both loud and clear-those pesky bugs just love a fresh custom paint job! As a matter of fact when I won a model comp.back in my youth-the owner of the shop was totally impressed with my "incredible"paint job and asked me what was my secret..Well the actual secret was I sprayed that car in my bedroom, but had to remain 'mum' on that deal as she was standing right beside me when he asked and had she known she would've FREAKIN' KiLLeD me !!

Actually tooold the headlights come from the AMT '63 Ford Galaxie A-Brothers show car custom reissue from a few years ago. But all in all, it's one cool ride.
