I know this is a backwards way of doing things on this site, but here is a 62 Valiant I restored back to stock from a custom junker. I got this from a klown on this site years ago. I had plans on cutting it up, but the longer I had it the more I thought it could be saved. Luckily the original builder used more filler than glue, so the parts weren't permenantly "welded" together and a trip to the freezer helped out with the disassembly .The hardest part was locating replacent parts ; I finally found a near complete chrome tree on Ebay and the scale 13 inch tires were a lucky find at a model show. The Modelhaus supplied the lights. The toughest part was removing the filler and trying to sand the body down without removing all the cars details ! The car is painted black and red in honor of the kid who built it back when I was two years old.The first pics are mock ups after its first purple bath.
