A weekend rebuild from a few weeks back:
My buddy Eric dropped this off, one of his teenage 'glue bombs' from the attic. Nice! Thanks Eric!
I just decided to give it some Easy-Off to strip the paint. When I cleaned it off I thought the bare plastic looked cool, kinda like sun baked survivor paint.
Eric had done a tidy job on the motor and interior so I just left those:
So all had to do was add some Bare Metal foil (ran short to do the chrome stripping on the rear!), got some new wheels out of the reissued Revell Tweedy Pie (I took two!), painted the grill and emblems, and cut some exhaust pipes out of aluminum and epoxied them on.
All on a Sunday!
I've been working on some more involved builds and learning a lot of scratch building techniques and so forth lately. This is nice but of course it's a long process. So this was a fun change of pace...instant satisfaction!
