I'm looking for something in the way of fat slicks and short skinny tires in 1/16th scale, you know, good old fashioned "Bigs'n'littles" but I don't want the ultra-soft ones from the Revell dragsters. I've got a set of them and they've taken on a funky texture with time. I know there must be something else out there, maybe from MPC? So let me know what you got, and what you want.

If I remember correctly there was a guy on Ebay making some from Resin and they were wider than the Revell's. I have not searched lately. Sorry this isn't much help. I'll look and see if mine are still in the shipping box and maybe get a name or address. There isn't much you can do about texture, but I remember, maybe in tips and tricks, someone had added foam to the inside of the tire to make them stand up better.
I did some looking around and I think the set I have is from Competition Resins, I don't know if they still produce them or not. M&H rears and skinnies up front. I forgot to attach a link, check page 13 of their parts catalog on the website.

I've checked C/R and yes, he has the M&H tires available, for a pretty good price. He also mentions wider ones 'coming soon', and the page is two years old... I've also been checking Ebay regularly, but haven't seen what I'm looking for outside of a sealed, nearly $300 'Rod Shop Vette', which I'm pretty sure has the tires I'm looking for. I ain't rich, so I ain't dropping three bills to parts raid a rare kit. My Revell front runners are still in nice shape, so I don't HAVE to get a set of skinnies, other than the hope of some 'matching' material.
