Hello All! I am starting a new showrod project. I am showing the first step here now just for your information. As part of the new project I needed a chassis template for the Revell Corvair powered showrods like Meter Cheater, Moon Mixer, T Bone etc etc. I am posting it here as I think I have found the parts needed to repro these kits major parts.....if you can make some of the 'flat' parts. So attached is a PDF file of the chassis from Medicine Man version of these kits....it is slightly different than the first edition of this series in the area of the fender support. Also in the PDF is a custom chassis and a hint of the new project. Stay tuned for more!!!! Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

OK......here is the reason I created the PDF file I post above. While I do have all the Revell Covair powered showrods....I've always wanted to kitbash others. But cutting up those kits was something I could not bring myself to. So I found that most of the parts are easy to find in other cheaper kits. The recent Barris T Buggy is cheap and easy to find....and will allow you to build a showorod like the Revell kits..... The major drive train parts are almost exactly like the Revell units. Almost weird how the design is almost a copy....good for us!!! These are the drive train parts....many others on the chrome tree..... Here is my start of a custom Corvair powered chassis with it's roots in the Revell design. You will see later why the 'nose' of my chassis is a little different than the Revell shape. Cut up and glued.....starting to look like the Revell kit. Amazing how much Revell and MPC tool design is similar. More to come.....slowly I am sure.....but I'll keep working..... Thanks!
