Hey Dudes
This is my next far out creture that I'm going to add to the family man. I'm gunna do a WIP on this man cause it is really hard to find anything on the net for this crazy dude man. By no means am I saying that I'm an expect man at this but this is how I do it klowns
Box Art
Here is all the car parts man that are in the box. All of these have been cleaned of seams and flash are now ready to paint. The only thing I need to do is fill and sand the body where the cowl meets the body man
Car Parts
The FINK
The little groover has been sanded and removed of seams and a little flash man and the first layer of Tamiya putty has been put on man, next will be priemier and see if we need anymore mud man
FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!! got a bit of bench time man.
Here is my little dude primed and ready for painting. As you can see I like to go over the creases man with a black tip marker before I lay down my base coat, this helps bring out the depth in the colour man.
Now, the thing I HATED about this kit man was the open back on the wheels, I mean far out man, this was a major boo boo by Revell, so I fixed that sucker First I traced around the wheels with my trusty HB pencil man on some plastic card & marked out the center
After I drilled out the center I liquid glued them on the outside of the wheels, let them dry for a good half hour man (this is important) then took my scalple and cut off the excess plastic
Then sand down the edges flat & this is what you should finish with dudes. Pretty cool man, Hey
Same for the fronts too dudes
Ok back to the FINK. This is the first coat of paint going on. I also did a little drybrushing with a litghter blue, it came out a bit dark but that's cool we will fix that up in the next step
Here he is after about 2 hours of painting man I painted him again with a lighter blue, but left the darker blue in the ears and around the eyes & mouth. Here you can see the benefits man of where we earlier filled in them lines with a black tip marker After that was dry I drybrushed some lighter blue again which I made up by just adding a few drops of white into the blue I used before & then finshed it off with a touch of green. I then painted the gums a dark red & started on the teeth man. Still a looongggg way to go but you can start to see things taking shape now. I'm having a blast doing this man & I will hopefully have another update soon dudes
HUGE update this time man..Got a lot done last night woohooo
I have finished of the teeth making them look a little yellow and rotten. I did this by first painting the teeth a flat white & then going over them with a Citadel brand colour called rotten gore :)I painted the eye surrounds red & then I painted the eyeballs are green\white followed by carefully painting in the blood shots.
I then moved on to the jacket man which was painted flat black with a dark grey drybrush & I followed that up with some white pastel colour & a light wash of black to get the right look I was going for. I then shot a coat of flat clear over the whole kit.
Next I moved onto the jeans man, this step is just starting. All I have done is giving them 2 coats of light blue & a little drybrushing I still need to add some shades to them yet. As before, here you can really see the advantage of using the black tip marker earlier in the project "Check out that belly button man"
While I was waiting for the jeans to dry I moved onto the tonuge & lumps on the face. The tounge was painted red with some drybrushing of pinksy red on the highlights, this will be followed up with a good coat or 2 of clear gloss to get that wet shinny look. With the lumps I wanted them to look like pimples man so what I did here was, using my silver Sharpie I first filled them in with that & let that dry for a good 10 minutes man. I then made up a red wash and tryed to make the surrounds like inflamed. This was followed up by a coat of Rotten Gore again, "Man I love this colour" to make them look like pussheads
Here is the little dude in all it's glory dudes. Getting very close now man. Time to move onto to the car, I have a few ideas for the little hot rod so hold ya hats man lol
