A 47 year old dream is finally realized!!! Ever since I was 9 years old, and first viewed these two kits on the model shelves, I have always dreamed of having them, only problem was, I was a 2 year veteran model builder, and knowing that Revell models were almost impossible to build correctly, I never got them. In the 80's, when Revell reissued the Miss Deal, I picked up a few, but never built one. After meeting Bob Paeth back in 1994 at a Portland model contest, and getting to know him over the years was a pleasure. Finding out he worked for Revell, and was one of the team that made these two kits happen, well, I had to build one. I didn't get around to it until 2008, and was actually building it when Bob passed, so he never got to see it. So, me being me, I had to have a Dodge Revellion to go with the Miss Deal. Problem was, they are quite a bit harder to locate, and aren't cheap when you do. Along comes this fellow named Chuck Darnell that just happened to have a body, minus hood & tins, but he did loan me his only set, which I modified to set the body lower to the chassis, then Chuck cast me a set in resin. Well, I had several of the Tony Nancy double kits for the chassis, a body, tins, but no hood.....after three years searching, I finally found a hood!!I did take a few liberties on the Revellion, I added two extra decals to the side of the body, an Autolite Spark Plug like the Miss Deal, and I found a Genuine Mopar Parts decal that when Googled, came to be the one they used from '62-'65...Perfect for a '62 Dodge Dart 4 door!!! The other thing I did was "finish" the front end. I made an aluminum grill filler, and headlight covers to make it look like a Dart. And.....Last, but not least, a HUGE thank you to Mr Chuck Darnell for ALL his help on the Revellion, including helping me get those copies of the original sell sheets!!!

John, my friend, I have always admired your incredibly clean builds, and here you are presenting us two more beautiful examples! Great execution of the paint Jobs! The Revellion it`s a first Generation funny car that really comes on funny... I've always liked the outa site blown- injected Dodge V8 in the front seat, while the Driver aims his mo-tating machine from his perch in rumble- seat Position... The original Revell "sister" kits were the ULTIMATE in 1960's Funny Car kits and are quite rare these days... ... but rarer still are the original 1967 Dealer Sell Sheets of those two classic kits! Sell sheets were not available to the general public, they were provided to hobby shop owners to help promote the sale of soon-to-be-released kits... Are they original, or are they Reprints?

What an awesome combination. Bob would have loved to see them. They turned out beautiful. All of the changes fit the Revellion nicely. That danged ole Chuck is a swell guy.

Thank you so much for your time. I finally found a very used Revellion body that I will be restoring soon ; I am going to use rattle cans for the paint ; Testor's custom lacquer has a gold and orange that look close to the box art , that's what I'm going with
