I like the new color much better. I think you made a wise decision with repainting it.

Much better Bob!!! Did you finally get some HOK paints, or is something different? Thanks you John ! I got the paint info but due to a shortage of funds I couldn't afford the HOK paints so I had to improvise with what I could get locally . It's not an exact match but it's close , and it's much better than that awful color I painted it originally !

I totally understand about the "shortage of funds" We gotta do what we gotta do. It looks great.

I totally understand about the "shortage of funds" We gotta do what we gotta do. It looks great. Yep , that's what modeling is all about ! Speaking of doing whatever it takes . . . the decals arrived today with one small problem . Two of the stripes are missing their color , and they go right above the taillights where they can be seen ! After about an hour on the computer I have replacements printed . In order to make sure they are opaque enough I printed them on white paper . Here's what the decals look like . There's a bunch of them and each one has to be trimmed separately . . . I'm hoping it will be a little easier the second time around !

No lie, I wasn't crazy with the original color you had either, but the new one really pops !

No lie, I wasn't crazy with the original color you had either, but the new one really pops ! I know Don . There were probably quite a few who felt the same way , but everyone was being " nice " and saying it looked great ! I did have a conversation with one person via PM and got an honest response ( the same as what I just said ) . I was actually glad to hear it since I knew I was going to repaint it and was worried some people would think I was being to critical of my own work . Thank you and I'm glad you like it ! I should have it back together and some photos taken by the end of the week .

Excellent job and paint color...where do you get the color's and who makes them Thanks , and welcome to the Coffin Corner ! The colors on the real Roswell Rod are a mix of HOK Sunrise Yellow and HOK Candy Tangerine Pearl , you can get them at MCW . I was short of funds so I had to improvise by mixing my own using Tamiya Yellow and Clear Orange , then I topcoated it with Tamiya Pearl Clear .
