I have been wanting to post this for a while. I FINALLY finished this one! It started for a contest at the CC2 and snowballed into what you see here. Actually, this one is a re-visit of an unfinished build from my childhood. Most of the small parts a scratch built. The body is the kit body, but modified for a tighter look. The glass is all custom. The paint is Testor's transparent blue over a Tamyia silver base. There are homemade scorpion graphics buried under the blue. The edges of the decals showed, so this one is going to be repainted later. Next time no decals. The Scorpion logo is also a home made airbrushed decal. This also represents a childhood dream come true in that it is featured in the April issue of Model Cars magazine. I hope you all enjoy it. Scott Attachments:

That's really sharp looking ! Love the paint and all of the chassis detailing , there's a lot to look at ! The front steering is pretty impressive too . When you repaint it , try some more decals but use some solvent on them so they lay down a little better .

Thanks Bob. The next paint job will have the graphics airbrushed straight onto the body instead of on decals. I was afraid to go straight to the body the first time around. Next time I'll suck it up and go for it.
Glad you like it Ira. One day I am going to make a Moon Cube.
Thanks John!. Yes, it has been a wait. First post -Jan 2010. Wow, I was even surprised by that. It did get shelved a couple time, but still - over 4 years!
Thanks for the kind words Steve-0
Thanks Al. Sometimes we get lucky. Cool part is my Dad wants a copy too. Over 50 and still feels goo to make my Pop proud.

Thanks a bunch Darryl. I have a spray booth now, so once I feel like getting back to it, I will be ready.
Glad you like it Dennis. (Like the dog bed!)

I built several of these as a kid. Wish they'd reissue it along with the Astro I.

Great to see you building Scott! Really nice work as per your usual! This kit is a total pregnant dog from what I remember! Isn't that body in like 10 pieces? Paintwork looks awesome!

Hey Tim, Yes, it weren't pretty to start. The Multii piece body that had a good deal of guess to it. The mock up of the box stock body is below. It took a good decal of surgery the make it look presentable. Thanks, Chuck. Your compliment means a lot to me. Flounder I thought it looked like a motorized cockroach. Hosted on Fotki
