If like me you grew up reading the Rod & Custom mags of the 60's then you will remember the 1963 Winternationals model car competition sponsored by AMT,Monogram and Revell.This comp showed some of the most amazing customs ever to grace the pages of any mag to date !One of the great custom builders of the era was Joe Bornaert and his wild custom 56 F100. This was built as a homage to his work and the awe inspiring custom this was ( I later discovered his pickup was red but at the time of building it looked gold in black and white ).Anyhow Joe-if you're out there thanks for those incredible models !!
