'48 Metro Delivery - Psyches Custom Psycles

I picked this resin Metro up at a show.

I scratch built the frame added a front and rear end. Dropped in a fuel tank and a Chevy 327 engine. I added brake lines and disk brakes.

The Metro will be Harley themed and haul a customized version of the bike from the cherry bomb.

















I scratch built the gas tank and fenders and the handlebars (the bars shown will be replaced).

That is a great project. When I see the 1:1s sitting around old buildings, I always think they would make great customs. Then I wish I had more money, and a bigger garage, etc. etc. etc. I guess that is left over from the van custom craze I grew up in. Keeping an eye on this project.

It’s been quite a while since I’ve posted anything.
I have been pretty busy for the past 8 months, but I have managed to finish this build.

1948 Metro

I got it as a resin from a model show a couple years age. I scratch build the frame and dashboard. Created the Psyches Custom Psycles theme decals. I converted a ’53 Chevy to a trailer and re fabricated parts of it. I also refabricated 2 motorcycles from the Cherry Bomb kit. Th handlebars are scratchbuilt as well as the fenders, tanks and seats.

The van and trailer are airbrushed in a mixture of reds amd a little black nail polish. The bikes are also nail polish.
