Update-6/20~SURF DIGGER~ Custom 1966 Chevelle station wagon

Starting out with a $5 Big Lots kit so I won't feel bad hacking it up with no money into it. The paint and x-tras will cost probably $25 of more though. Can't win for losing. LOL I was going to name it "Sand Digger" but someone might take that the wrong way LOL






Added 1951 Chevy fenders to it. Skirts will be added as well. Remove the C pillars and back doors. Shaved the handles and emblems. Paint will be "Grabber Blue" with white flames and with the flip color of "Grabber Orange' for the interior and some small details and engine.

The original grill and headlights will be tossed and adding '51 custom grill andCantilevered front headlights. In doing this I had to extend around the radiator housing for a back plate. Dang, more putty, more sanding. LOL it still not there, going to have to tweak the fit.





Added some custom lucite knobs to the dash...modern sound system where the glove box was and little accent on steering wheel. Still needs little touch ups.

Worked on the interior..little shakey but it's the best I can do(See and not shake too much....skills are fading) Finnnaly got some paint on it to see how it fares. Still have to add some 1951 Chevy stuff to the front end and back.

Chromed the bay, made blinds with strips and twist-tie wires painted white. Worked on the taillights with mini X-mas decor lights. now installed. This is giving me fits. I don't seem to have a lot of time and un-shakiness. ha...lot of touching up to do. And postin' updates takes time. Should be building .

















Starting to get there. Just workin' on some white tires and flame decals for the car and surfboards, Also some junk to put in it and around it for fun...hey! Still have to add the wind deflectos
