A very nice looking El Camino. It looks like all of the bashing merged together nicely. I'm looking forward to some paint and striping.

That turned out as fine as frog hair. Super build and detailing work. Where did the wheels come from, what kit? I need a couple sets of those for the future. Love the classic orange small block and white headers. I'm doing that on my 1:1

Thanks Bert ! And I love the look of your engine , that's how I always paint mine ! The wheels I used are new U.S. Indy Mags from Fireball Modelworks . He has them in 5" , 7" , and 10" widths ( I used 7" and 10" ) for $2 a pair ! That's right $2 Dollars a PAIR ! They are 1/24th scale so I had to file them down a bit to fit in the 1/25th tires , but they are so nice I didn't mind the extra work ! Joseph Osborne runs Fireball Modelworks and his service is excellent . . . be sure to tell him that Bob sent you ( I don't get anything , I just promised to send business his way ) . www.fireballmodels.info/

That is fantastic! Great work! The black M/T valve covers are a nice touch for that late 70s-early 80s look.

Another great build, Bob. Nice that you could pull together another of your 1:1 rides that you can display on the shelf. Me, I've yet to find either a 70 (71?) VW 411 (mine was a four-door), or a 78 LeCar, in 1:24/25 scale That goes for my 73 Mercury Montego Brougham as well! Okay... I've owned some offbeat cars

And yes , that makes two I've finished with many more left to do . You know , the '73 Montego is a do - able build . There is a resin stock car body available and you could use the MPC '73 Cougar as a donor .

To be true to it, I'd have to do it as I owned it... Flintstone style. On mine, there was no floorboard on the driver's side. It was rusted out and replaced with masonite under the carpet

It was rusted out and replaced with masonite under the carpet Most of my cars have been like that too . I once had my seat break thru the floor when I went over some railroad tracks , only the cheap carpeting saved me !

Thanks Bob for the heads Up on the wheels. I ordered several sets of wheels and some of the mud tires. Tires and Wheels look fantastic, good service as well.
