From an original Monogram Little Deuce. I'd like to backdate a RevelloGram reissue Deuce to a Little Deuce clone. Cash or trade. Any help or direction appreciated. Thanks.

You probably know about this one already . . . It has the Little Deuce grille with the vertical bar across it but I'm not sure if the firewall is the same , and there are lots of them on ebay for good prices ! Here's a kit review : www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=41202

Thanks Bob. interesting thread but after reading all the posts I'm still not clear if the L.D. specific grill made it past the first two issues. I'll try to pick one of these kits up and check it out. Does anyone know for sure?

Very little info to be found about these kits , but I'm beginning to think that the original Deuce grille isn't in this kit either . The only photos I've found with that grille are the 60's issues of the kit . I'd hold on to your money .

Ok curiosity was getting to me so picked up one of these kits. The basic bones of the L.D. are here but that's it. This one doesn't even have the up top that the Amigo Pack issue did. The custom grill is definitely MIA. What's really interesting to me is these decals on the sheet. I found another surprise on the chrome tree. Looks like the center caps for the original L.D. mag wheels. These are NOT on the Amigo Pack issue tree.

That was a popular kit back in the day , If you cant find one here , I would suggest to scour the junk lots and parts lists on Ebay. I've really made out in some of those auctions in the past. Years ago I found a set of horns for the Tijuana Taxi when the kit was supposedly never to be reproduced. In one junk auction I won I got a complete unused chrome tree and the glass for the Dragon Wagon (rare as hens teeth years ago),in another a built Lil Herbie . I didnt pay more than $20.00 for any of these . You may have to look closely at some of the parts auctions, but you may get lucky and come up with what you need.

Those chrome reverse wheels look pretty decent too ! As are the center caps . . . are there only two ?

Yes Bob, there are only two center caps, as they were only needed on the front wheels of the Little Deuce, the rear wheels had them molded to the rims. As far as the grille goes, the custom grille was in the exact same place as the stock grille now.
