This kind of reminds me of the movie, "Heavy Metal".
This is an interesting project. Keep it coming, Ira!
"Take a ride, ride, ride, ride, ride on heavy metal..........It's the only way that you can travel down that road!"
"Paulie" Thanks Paulie!Really like the Corvette in that movie...

Blackout!I decided to add some Metal Mesh to the front & Rear Vents. I started by Flattening the Detail in the Front Vents with a Dremel Tool. I wish I had done this before I painted the Body, because the Dremel Bit snagged and started to move towards the outside of the Body. Fortunately I stopped it before it caused any serious damage, just scratched the paint a little and knocked one Engine out. I'll glue the Engine back in & touch it up the scratches later. Notice I glued the Cylon Raider Grill in the Corvette Grill Opening. Here are the Rear Vents painted Flat Black. Here are the Front Vents painted Flat Black. More Coming...

Brass Mesh!I found this Metal Mesh in an Art Supply Store. I think it will go well with the Purplelisious Paint. First I cut off some Brass Mesh so it will be easier to work with. Then I started to make File Card Templates to fit in the Vents. Next I held the Templates on to the Mesh and cut them to size. More Coming...

Stretching the Mesh!I started by cutting 2 lines that connected the 2 grooves, so now I have a Triangular Opening, sort of. Next I cut a small piece of Brass Mesh an Pushed & Shaped it through the Opening until I got this Real Nice Shape. Then I glued it in place with Zap-A-Gap, Green Label & Hot Glue. More Coming...

The Pilot! The Pilot is from a Tamiya Figures Kit. Looks like his knees are up too high... So I made a Saw Cut behind each Knee and bent the Legs down a little bit. Then I glued them with Zap-A-Gap. Had to cut his Shoes off to fit right. The bottom half fits pretty good now. More Coming...

In the Middle!I positioned the Upper Body in place, but there was a big space where the belly should be. So I attached the Body Halves with a drop of Zap-A-Gap and then glued in scrap plastic to fill the Belly Space. After grinding down the excess scrap plastic I applied putty. Next I test fit the Head & Arms. I glued the Arms in place with a drop of Zap-A-Gap. Looks like I will have to glue the Head in after the Body is glued in. More Coming...

There are Photos cut to fit and attached with 2 Sided Tape. I cut off the old Instrument Panel and replaced it with a larger one, big enough for the Blue Screen. Now I just need to do some touch-up and the RAIDER VETTE is Finished! Finished RAIDER VETTE Photos Coming Soon...
