GYRO Box! Next I cut 2 pieces of sheet plastic to fit over the front & back of the Axle Supports. Then I glued them in place as shown. I cut a small piece of plastic to fit the bottom and glued it in. Then I sanded the sides smooth with Sanding Boards & Sandpaper. This is where the Batteries and Gyro Scope are located. X-Wing Things!I found these Engine Halves in the Parts Box. They are also from the old 12" MPC X-Wing Fighter. With a little Cutting & Fitting they should fit the Gyro Box just right. Here are the Engine Halves in place on the Gyro Box. More Coming...

Battlestar Galactica!I found these Engine End Caps, left over from a vintage Monogram Colonial Viper Kit Bash. They will be the covers for the Electric Engines in each Wheel. I could have glued the Engine Ends on the outside of the Rims, but I thought they would look better recessed into the Rims. So I marked off some plastic to be removed. After a lot of Grinding and Fitting and Sanding I got one of the Ends to fit inside! More Coming...

Electric Wheels!First I sprayed the Wheels with DupliColor Grey Filler/Primer. Next I sprayed a couple of coats of Tamiya Silver Leaf. Then I brushed a Black Wash on the center ribbed section. More Coming...

GYRO Box Pipes!I cut 2 lengths of Aluminum Tubing and glued them to the ends of the Tanks with Zap-A-Gap, as a shown. Then I added a little White Glue and filled in the holes and gaps. Rear View. More Coming...

Cut It Out!I decided to cut out the recessed section of the old Tailigate area. I used the Cut Off Wheel and an 1/16" Drill bit for the cutting. Next I filled the opening below the Tailigate area with a strip of plastic. Then I cut off the excess and sanded the area smooth. More Coming...

Grill!I am sanding the edges of some plastic strip to make the rear Grill Bars. I cut the Horizontal Bar first and glued it in with Zap-A-Gap. Here are the Vertical Bars in place. More Coming...

More Lights!I removed the chrome from the grill and glued it in place. Then I measured for the locations of holes for new High-Power Lights. I started the holes with an X-Acto Knife then I opened them up with a Reamer. More Coming...

Thrusters!I am adding Thruster Engines to the Dodger. These are from the little MPC X-Wing Fighter. I used the Circle Template to draw the Hole Lines. I started the Holes with an X-Acto Knife and opened up the Holes with the Reamer. More Coming...

Recessed Lights!I cut some sheet plastic to fit behind the Headlights and the 2 New Lights. Instead of using the stock Headlight Housings I'm going to attach the Headlights to the New Plastic Backing. This will recess the Headlights about 3/16". I also backed the Holes for the Thrusters the same way. More Coming...

Floorboards!I made paper templates for the floorboards and when I got them to fit I traced the shapes on to plastic and cut them out. Next I bent the larger part to fit over the Tubs better and then I glued them both in place. Then I cut a length of Half-Round Plastic Rod to fit and I glued it in place as shown. More Coming...

Dodger Drivers!I found these Seats in the Parts Box. I had to cut the bottoms off to make more headroom. I am using Tamiya figures for the Dodger. Great Fit & Real Nice Detail too. Here are the Drivers glued together. The Dodger is controlled by a center mounted Joystick. So either person can drive from either seat. More Coming...

Dodger Doors!I added strip plastic the fill the Door Hinge Slots in the Doors. Here are the Doors after Sanding. Next I sanded the Door Frames until I got a good fit for the Doors. More Coming...

Solar Power!I am going to add a Solar Panel in the Dodgers Roof. I started by drawing the shape of the Panel on the Roof. Then I lightly Scribed the Lines using a piece of Lexan Plastic for a guide. Next I scribed the Lines Deeper and Wider. Here are the Lines after Sanding. This will be the New Solar Panel for the Electric Engines. More Coming...

Flaming Orange!After spraying one last coat of Primer I sprayed the Dodger with Tamiya Silver Leaf. First time I used Tamiya Masking Tape, it's Great. I used it to mask off the bottom edge of the Body. Then I used Blue Masking Tape to cover the rest. Next I sprayed on a few coats of Testors Flaming Orange. Here is a photo with the Tape removed. Paint it Black!I painted most of the Interior Flat Black. The rest of the Interior is Flaming Orange & Flat Black, with a final spray of Dullcote. I also made a console from rectangular Plastic Tube and sprayed it with Flaming Orange. More Coming...

Metal Screen!I picked up this Metal Screen a Riley Street, a local Art Supply Store. It was Brass color but I sprayed it with Flat Black. Here is the Screen cut to fit and glued in place. I also added Rhinestones for Lights. Here is the rear with Screen, Lights and X-Wing Fighter Jet Engines added. More Coming...

Interior Stuff!I painted the Dash with Flaming Orange and Black. Then I sprayed it with Dullcote. The Radar Screen is made from a photo copy of a Screen attached with 2-sided tape. Here are the Seats and Console in place. More Coming...
