Really nice looking build ! This is a kit that never caught my eye until I saw what could be done with it. A few years ago there was a contest to build one of these any way you wanted. There was a pretty good turnout and it was really nice to see what the guys did for their favorite teams - mine was the Dolphins , but there was a good group of teams represented. .

Thanks for the kind words guys. Wish I could have been a part of that contest but it will take a few more builds for me to get up to the point where I'd almost be comfortable entering. It's been decades since I built models! I forgot how much fun it is but now that my kids are beginning to appreciate being able to build something cool out of a pile of parts, they are enjoying it too!
Hmmm... I have a Tijuana taxi kit stashed in the garage somewhere. I'm gonna go find it after I get back from vacation.

The decals are still kinda wet. My little boy and I had a ton of fun building this Gridiron Grabber. Summer vacation can be hard on bored kids so this went together in about three days. I'm gonna revisit it to tint the blowers and valve covers, wire it and probably re-do the decals. I'm not so sure I like the color the background turned out. They are still wet though and maybe they will blend in a bit more. We'll see. I hope you like it and GO SEAHAWKS!      I wouldn't change anything, It might bruise his spirit. |
