I've always loved this car and have been thinking about building it. I got a box of gluebomb planes from a show and found one to use. I traced it out and cut it up. I widened the body and added material. There are only about 5 or 6 angles of the car and none of a rear view. here it is so far and I hope you like it. Dave

What the man said. I wouldn't have seen that the cat car was hiding inside that plane even if my life depended on it.

Way to go, creating a character out of the cartoon is a challenge. because you would have to assume how the car should look like in reality. Look forward to the completion of this car !

Great vision and a hell of start. I remember a period in my drawings as a kid where the cars had a similar base shape... the driver sat up on the front hump and the rest sloped off and then into a big fin. I know it was influenced by these guys!

Thanks for all your nice comments. I cut off the bottom of the fuselage and added flat stock. I also sanded off all the lines and rivets. Dave

I know its been quite a while since I have posted. I finished the Catmobile and here it is. It is mostly scratched build from a plane fuselage. I made the fenders. The catface is made from a type of sculptee. I rolled it real thin and my wife drew the shape. I cut it out and formed it over the head of a duck decoy as it had the best shape then painted it. I also made the eyes and nose and glued it on. I was able to use artistic license as there aren’t many pictures of the car that show all details. For the figures they are from race drivers. I scratch built the heads and all the other details. I hope you like it. Dave
