This is planned to be a quick box stock build to reboot my Showrod mojo. Apart from cleaning up flash on some of the parts it's going OK so far.







I did some fettling on the front and rear panels before fitting them so that filling and sanding was kept to a minimum.

So much for a quick build. There has been some progress though. The body has been given a couple of coats of white primer in preparation for the red topcoat.



I've also made a start on painting the interior and the top.

Progress looks good! The quick builds for me seem to always take longer.

Looks great. Yep the front does not fit that well.
Should look great when finished.

The interior tub has had a sprinkling of embossing powder for the carpet and the seats fitted.



Meanwhile, the body has been given a few coats of Tamiya Italian Racing Red. Did someone say time for a mock up?

I had some trouble with the paint after I polished through to the primer in a couple of places. After a light wet sand and another couple of coats of paint it looked better than it had before so I applied the decals and glued the main sub assemblies together.
