That gold really looks gold. what did you use? The Gold is Tamiya Clear bottle paint over BMF and kit chrome. Two coats is Gold and 3 coats comes out Brass. It self levels so I brush it with a very soft bristle brush. Paul |

Great looking Kart ! I'm actually building one of these for the first time .I was going to use some gold foil on the sides, but the clear yellow you used looks so much better !

TAMIYA PAINTS MX24 Clear Yellow Mini Acrylic Gloss Finish I'll definitely be using that Tamiya yellow , thanks ! I've read the decals were an issue with some people. What was the problem ? They seemed OK to me , at least after I hit them with some Solvaset ! LOL |

They seemed OK to me , at least after I hit them with some Solvaset ! LOL The decals are supposed to be an issue with some saying they don't match the photos, but after the initial build of the car , the rebuild after it's engine fire and the current restored version , I found after looking at a ton of photos they match the repair and repaint Barris did after the fire. They do has a tendency to be some what brittle if you don't let the soak. Lots of Solv set and a soft brush cures all. Paul |
