I know it's a very old kit, but has anyone seen any recently. I'm not a collector I'm a builder, no point in having them and not building them.
But remember I'm a pensioner so money is not endless!

Well Pat , I wish you luck . If you're budget is limited you may have to dip into your retirement fund , even an incomplete UT will cost much more than what most people would be willing to pay .

Yeah. I seen a few on eBay. The built up was the least costly but still the bid was like 175 us or close to that. I had a build up a few years ago that was pretty decent but she the ol lady and I broke up for the billionth time she burned it. Pretty sad too. A friend gave me a decent box for it too. Sucks. Good luck.

There is a partial build up on Ebay right now , with four days to go its at $46.00 ; it will go for a lot more and its missing parts . Due to the scarcity of this kit I doubt many people here would have spare pieces to complete it .

I believe there is a resin caster who does a complete kit; they show up from time to time on ebay.

There was a guy on eBay Australia selling resin copies of this kit - and also I saw that Steve Scott is taking preorders for a reissue that he's planning...but it seems like he's been planning it for a while. I'll be holding onto my money until I see one for real, personally

Jim, since you have been gone ten years do a search on the Uncertain T and Steve Scott. He is a complete nut bag. Resin repop will be the only way to find an affordable UT. Of course, someone may find a cheap glue bomb on ebay.

Haha, I read the threads on here about him. Seems like he's taking a lot of preorders for kits that might not ever come out - but that's not my business I guess. He has a Facebook group about the reissue he's making of the kit, and I asked when he expected to be done and he blocked and removed me so I guess that gave me my answer

The partial built one I saw on Ebay went for $172.50 ! It wasn't even listed as an Uncertain T , it was in a group of junk models and listed as such. May be it would have gone for more if the seller knew what he had .

I found the eBayer who was selling them Pat - his ebay name is ResinBlob. He hasn't got them listed right now but might be worth asking about them anyway!

Hi kabdriver, I've had a reply already (overnight)! Saying that he can get hold of one for $85 aus plus $19 aus shipping, so I've answered about the cost being a pensioner and what comes in a kit (if it is). So watch this space!

That doesnt seem terrible - about $75 (or I guess maybe 60 pounds if youre English - I forget the exchange rate exactly).
From the pics I've seen of these resin kits they include everything that the original car kit came with except the base and the girl figure - be interested to see what he says though!

Well kabdriver here's a photo of the kit that Glenn has sent me............... It's $104AU including shipping of $19AU so the kit is $85au. That's £62.08 here in the UK. I've ordered one and paid by Paypal. Glenn said it takes a few days to produce the whole kit, and will advise me when he's ready to send it. kabdriver, I've always used CA or Superglue to put my 1/43 resin kits (Rallycars) together, what do you use, remembering that we don't have as many adhesives in the UK under the same name as yours? I've done various searches, Google etc. and found a host of pictures of the 'T' to base the build on.

It looks really nicely done - cant wait to see what you do with it Pat!
I would use CA or superglue too, personally, washing the parts carefully in some soapy water before priming or gluing to make sure there's no release agent on there to ruin your paint. I actually like white wall tyre cleaner for cleaning resin parts, but I'm not sure if you can get that 'across the pond'.
I also picked up a tip from somewhere a while ago that said to paint both sides of thinner resin parts (like the body, for example) even if the inside won't be visible when completed. As paint shrinks it can 'tug' at the resin if it's just on one side and can cause some warping, although I've never seen that in person (knock on wood).

Thanks kabdriver for the prep and painting tips. I must also get another bottle of zap-a-gap super glue as my old one is perhaps to old to do the job properly. No I haven't seen white wall cleaner here, but we don't see white wall tyres, only at shows if at all. Glenn has sent an update saying he will be able to ship it on Monday, so we'll see how long it takes to get to the UK from Oz! I wonder if anyone can find a build plan?

Well guys here it is! Glenn sent it from Oz on the 16th May and it's the 24th May today in the UK, very good on economy shipping! There is very little I need to do in removing flash as there is very little, as you can see from my pics......... I will start to prepare the kit with warm water with a drop of washing up liquid and a good clear water rinse, when I've finished my present build. By the by I came across this yesterday on a Pinterest search, a kid's go cart! I wish I was a lot younger and a lot smaller........ again!
