Nice save! I wonder why nobody's built this in 1/1 scale yet?

Great save Don , you definitely had your work cut out with this one ! And Sublime Green is the best choice for paint , really close to the original plastic .

Thanks for the compliments guys ! As for finding one ,I would say never give up - Believe it or not I won this on Ebay for a grand total of $15.00 and that was a week long auction ! Somehow this one went unnoticed , so I would keep looking ,you may get lucky too !

This was a Ebay gluebomb . When I won it the build didn't look too bad, but when it arrived it was really a mess- the motor was heavily glued in wrong, the rear seat was glued shut and thanks to NO packing in the box, the axles were broken. It took more then a few hours to cut the windshield out of the brittle frame . I took the rear seat apart, filed a groove across it and made some pins so it would spin. The door panels were put in wrong so I had to file the lower edges down and add a top piece to both so the hatch would shut right . All the wheels were drilled out as the axles were broken; Hotwheels Bob hooked me up with another builder who sent me some useable parts . Most of the chrome was painted with Alclad spray . Because of all the glue damage I couldn't save the green plastic, so I painted it in Testor's Sublime green. The decals are reproductions from Billy Gooche and were a good quality decal . WOWZA! Haven't seen one of these in YEARS!!! GREAT JOB!

I wonder what the chances are of a Horn Toad reissue?

I wonder what the chances are of a Horn Toad reissue? The Horn Toad got retooled into the Rattler so the molds may be long gone ,but with all the reissues popping up you never know !
