Im looking to create a parts request thread to see if others would like a model part(s) made on the computer and 3d printed. Any thoughts or ideas are welcome!
As of now Im going to create the Body of the "Uncertain T". Any scale will be available once completed. I'll create a thread showing the progress.
For the past couple years I have been creating printed 3D parts for the model car community. Once created I would either sell the parts directly from Shapeway's or I created molds from the print and sold the parts as resins casts. I have made various engine and body parts for the community and overall it has worked out well. Complicated surface shapes I have sold directly from Shapeway's as my molding skills are limited.
I used Ebay as my primary entry to the market and once relationships were established I would deal with that buyer directly. It led to me creating a company name called "3dscaleparts".

How about a 1/8th scale Cragar S/S wheel, 15inch diameter? Is that possible?

Hi arniebodybuilder, The wheel you ask for I did some time ago. I sold many of them as a set narrow and deep for the 1:8 crew. All of my wheels fit the stock Revell/Monogram tire size that went on the "Big T" and "Big Tub". I sold them as a cast resin to bring the cost down. Currently I have to make new molds for all the wheels. To get them now you would have to buy them directly from Shapeways at a higher per wheel cost. My Shapeways store is closed to the public so you would have to work out a direct transaction through me and I would order it. I am currently looking at different vendors to see if I can the cost down as they are $15.00 per wheel on. How soon are you wanting them? Here are the pics rendered and from Shapeways. Narrow version Deep version
