I'm not surprised, given the utter rubbish you started with! Looking good. I wonder if you should cut away that flat plate (part of the chassis) sticking up between the gas tank and the body? Haha, yeah, it wasn't the best start for a build I was wondering about that extra bit on the chassis too...hmmmmmm Lose it IMO.

Nice work... and I like the Corvair up front... that's neat. Thanks buddy! Just a little update on this one...I thoguht I'd probably got the primer pretty close to smooth and ready to paint, but it was kinda hard to tell. I figured I'd lay some gloss black over it too to see how it looks all shiny. It's pretty much there, just needed a little smoothing down (particularly around the raised seams) and I'll give it another coat or 2 tomorrow. It's looking pretty mean though, all in black!

Well, I got the paint done, cleared, polished - it's looking pretty good I think! Got the interior painted and ready for some BMF on the trim And getting ready to start assembling this thing there! More soon!

Did some more work on this one...first I mocked up a new shift knob to fit the theme - I wanted a big diamond or ruby, and I found some little beads in Michaels ages ago, one of which worked perfectly: Cut some custom sidewall lettering for the rear tyres And got them applied... And started doing some assembly - it looks like a car finally! It's come a long way from the pile of bits that I started with!

Coming along very nicely !The purple interior goes perfectly with the shiny black . I've just invested in two 1m.m. Molotow pens , along with some evergreen sheet & tubing . And some models that won't be relevant on this specific site !! ( Gliddens '88 T-Bird , a 1969 Isuzu Bellet GT-R & a 1950 'Fangio' Alfetta !!) I did get some Corgi/matchbox I might photograph that are suitable though.... ( does the lil' redd wrecker count ?) Time to pull my finger out and get designing .

So, this week I made a new gas tank (I wasn't quite happy with the way the other one looked so I went for something a little smaller... https://www.instagram.com/p/BcL9tjpFz0J ...and got that painted, and found some cool clear purple plastic sheet to make a windshield So, now, I just gotta clear the tank, finish painting the roof (which is in the booth now), glue it on there and then get the front lights fitted on there and call it basically done. I might actually make the deadline on this one!
