Scratch how are you going to build the rear portion? Im about done with the 3d construction of the Roach. Right now I'm finishing up the inner part of the model. The mental notes I have on this model are quite related to what I've seen with your scratch build. The front portion of the model was construction quite fast relative to the rear. The back end of this thing has taken most of the time. Specifically the "Leg" portion has taken the most of me. So I applaud what you have done so far as it looks great! Im really curious to see how and what plans you have for the rear. As I said in the beginning for me I knew there may not be a model that gets harder than this one. Keep up the great work and look forward to seeing your progress. I'm soon to get this out and will of course post pics when Im there.

Howdy!! 3D hope all I well ....Here is my plan....I just received in the mail a 3/8 thick sheet of pvc to give me carving freedom. you see those lines on the bug butt....lol well I will draw the basic outline of each leg then carve the to spec..I will then cut notches in the body going towards the front of the car.i will then slide each leg in position then glue them in. It's kinda of like putting a 3D puzzle together.....I cant wait to see your 3D version to see how close we are....and once again sign me up for one so I can compare...I think we both can get this thing together.

I'm going solder a chasis and use a 1" steel chrome ball bearing for the gas tank....the other gas tank you see in the pictures that's on the rear housing with that license plate looking thing...im going to keep that for one that is going to be the roach license plate...and im running 2 gas tanks......just to be a little different and I don't feel like taking it off because it looks kool...
