A few weeks ago I posted a couple pictures of this project in the Workbench Weekends thread; although it's not strictly a show rod, I thought you guys might like to see some pics now that the Saturn Weekender is finished:

Oh wow, this is COOL! What a great build! So much cool stuff to look at! I REALLY like the use of LEDs (I guess?) in the 'flames' - did you make those yourself by the way? They look kinda like tinted resin or something maybe? The brass portholes as window fromes are really gorgeous too. And that color!

I did make the flames myself; I sculpted a flame shape out of Aves, then made a silicone mold and cast them using Gedeo Pebeo clear resin, tinted with a couple drops of Tamiya Clear Orange. The flickering LEDs I bought from Evan Designs. I actually made mold a few months ago for the flames on my Eye Gone Wild.

That's brilliant! Great scratchbuilding! I had an idea for some flames for one of my Name Game builds - I should maybe give them a try!

That is the most amazing build I have ever seen. Its truly a masterpiece. Incredible work. Absolutely fantastic.

You captured that 50ties Jetsons cartoonish spacefeeling absolutely spot on. Of all the details that pops out all over, there is one detail that pops JUST a little bit more than the others. Thats the dog... Absolutely love it... Love it all...

On a scale of 1 to 10, this must be around 600....
