DW Cheetah - "The Coupe From Riverside"

Had this for a while and finally decided it was time to build it. Designed and sold by Motorpsycho it was mastered and produced by Modelfactory Hiro in 2011 . The miniature version was released in 2017 also by Modelfactory Hiro .

I built both right out of the box except I used some resin wheels I had on the big Cheetah . Also used new tire decals on both as the kit decals were printed backwards due to copyright issues with Revell . The kits themselves were produced with the cooperation of the Dave Deal family .

Quick and fun to build I'm happy they're both on my shelf !

Nice builds Bob!! Very cool! I really like these Cheetahs! I think I saw these before and wanted to pick one up but it was kinda pricey

I realized that it may be hard to tell the scale of these Cheetahs from my photos so I took this one this morning .

AH there you are again Bob, turning out superb builds! I've always fancied building the standard racer but I understand they are costly!

Bob, to make an appropriate comment is impossible.

These builds looks absolutely great, the finish is from another world, incredibly clean and beautiful!

One question Bob I should have asked before....Are they tyre decals or do you do the white lettering by hand as it's really superb?

Hey Pat , those are decals . I did the artwork and had them printed almost two years ago , that's how long I've been planning on building this .
Unfortunately the company that printed them for me is no longer in business .

Thanks Bob. I've found a 1/25 resin kit on HobbySearch, Japan for $143.36 by Motor Psycho and shows 'All Sold Out'. Shame! Even the original diescast which I understand had a very short run, so expensive and 1/43rd scale. Super looker though!

Beautiful work Bob. Thanks for the scale pic. I dont how you work on that small stuff. It would be tough for me to build with one hand and hold the magnifying glass with the other.

This kit was a limited release in 2011 and sold out in days . Very rare even on ebay . . . I got very lucky but paid a price to get it .

If you want a 1/25 scale kit HRM makes a resin kit that's very expensive . The Cox Cheetah slot car bodies have really dropped in price recently and can be had for under $100 bucks on ebay but a better choice is the Carrera Cheetah slot car at around $60-70 complete , both are 1/24 scale . Very nice body and wheels/tires , it would make a great start for a model .
Here's two I have and plan on converting to models .
