The Force 440 kit gets my vote for the lamest of all the show rods on the list ,including the Elegant Farmer, but I don't think I've seen a pic of one on this site yet so here it is. I built this last year for a contest on Todd's site. I've had it for decades, and it gave me a chance to actually finish a build . Basically its a weak MPC year old annual kit with a bunch of police items thrown in - so many that there are more pieces than you put in/on the car , and some of the ones don't even fit in the car right . I omitted the huge push bumper and the radar unit for those reasons . The decals were fragile and didn't fit right on the car. The engine, supposed to be a 440 , is out of scale for the kit as are the rims/ tires . Building this car made me realize why I stuck with Monogram and AMT kits when I was a kid !

Haha, that title You don't work in advertising, right Don? Looks like a nice clean build anyway - did AMT do a version of this same kit too? I seem to remember one of these in my stash in Joker colors - purple body and green wheels on the box? I think I traded it away for something else.

Yes, AMT did a four door version of the car, which would have been more believable as a police car !

Ahhh, it was a different kit - gotcha!
Showrods are kinda meant to be impractical - so I guess a cop car that doesn’t have rear doors for whoever you catch kinda qualifies! 😂.

I've never seen one of these, I've even overlooked that he's one of the 275+, anyway, you've done a good job, Don!

LOL Honestly, the best part of this kit in my opinion is the strobe light assembly and the police car hubcaps. - at least they got those parts right !

It may be lame but you did a good job on it.
