I know this isn't a car but it's a model just the same. I bought the Thunder Chopper model when it came out but didn’t like the set up. I wanted to make it close to stock. This is about a 1968-1969 Sporty. I did make a mistake on the rocker boxes. Pre 1971 they were solid across , post 1970 they had the dip. I have 2 more Thunder Chopper models and I will make sure they are correct in the build. Pre 1971
Post 1970 I scratch built the following parts: Handlebars and handgrips - bars made from solder Cushioned seat with springs Shocks - made from steel antennas Front and rear fenders Exhaust pipes Tail light Kick stand Front forks and suspension For some of the reference I own a 1974 Ironhead:
