G,Day All Rummaging around in the cupboard for stalled projects I found this. Not sure where or when I got this one. 1986 reissue. All there except the very tip of the spike. Rear suspension has been broken and the chrome is worn out. Glue bombed to the max. Some thing to do between builds.

Looks like they broke the suspension trying to get the completed diff in.

Thanks guys for the encouragement. Biggest hurdle I saw was the chrome. Found a good system I can use (ALSA Easy Chrome) So its full steam ahead.

G’Day All Quick update. Got the chrome system the other day so working on getting what needs to be chromed ready. Rear suspension was broken in three places and required steel pins. Sump was a wrestle. One side had two drops of glue and the other had two tubes of glue. Best part of three nights to separate and still managed to break bits off. Manifold had been mangled and needed a lot of filler to fix the sink holes. Helmet and tank were pretty straight forward, Thanks for Super glue and Talc.

Nice when a vintage find can be rebuilt, I'm curious about the chrome system too. Looking forward to process with pics.

Thanks guys for the encouragement. Biggest hurdle I saw was the chrome. Found a good system I can use (ALSA Easy Chrome) So its full steam ahead. Great progress on this project, Roger, looks very time consuming... … and because it's so time consuming, it would be a shame if the chrome didn't work... I don't want to discourage you, on the contrary! But I am rather skeptical about products that should just work out of the box, because I have tested a lot and have not been successful with the majority, the best so far for me is the Molotow stuff, but it also did not always work for me and mine purposes, do not know personally yet your chosen chrome system, but here is something: Therefore I would like to ask you to pass on your experience to us, if that is possible.
