It's been a while since I built one of these.
Thought it was time to work one up.
The body halves have been glued together and the bottom cut out to allow it and the chassis, motor, and interior to be painted separately.
The roll bar has been lowered and moved back and the front bubble sheered down to a more shapely windscreen than the one included with the kit.

Your modifications to make the painting easier are a great idea!! I like the windshield too - looks cool! Got an idea on color?

Nice job!! That kit has so many options......I built a coupe but always wanted to build the roadster and racer versions.

At the moment, I'm thinkin' gray primer and off white plastic! 
Maybe silver/bright metallic combo.
I tried to do a color count of my past builds, but it comes out fairly even

I tried to do a color count of my past builds, but it comes out fairly even Guess you can pick anything then! I was just looking at my queue of builds this morning - I’ve got two red ones in progress and two more red ones that I want to do next. Guess I’m in a red phase 🤷♂️ |

That looks great so far, I really like the mods.  I also try to glue multipart bodies together as one unit to make them easier to paint.  |
