A good friend of mine recently picked up a rough Meter Cheater rebuilder at a swap meet. Its fairly complete, but the left rear control arm is broken and mostly gone . I couldn't help him out with a replacement , but I told him I would try to find one - Does anyone have one they will sell/trade ? Its the same arm for all the Revell kits in the series ; Guber Wagon ,Moon Mixer ,Patent Pending ,etc.. i.imgur.com/qZahyH2.jpg

I have a Revell Dur Guber wagon, and I know a guy that does resin molding. I will ask him about making one, but I am not sure how much he will charge!

I thought I was going to have the part for you but when I finally found what I thought was "it", "IT" turned out to be just some baby blue colored fender and body pieces. (I don't know which one that is, but it is in the series)

Its a 1960 to 1964 Corvair rear control arm and axle like Roths Road Agent has.

Don -
I spoke to one of the guys in my club who does molding over the phone. I told him about the part you needed molding and he told me to bring it to our next club meeting this Friday, and he will see what he could do. Since resin parts are not as strong as polystyrene, it may be too brittle to get out of the mold undamaged depending on thickness. If he does manage to mold the part for you, you will have to take a little extra care during assembly not to damage it. Finally, we discussed the price and we decided it would be about $10.00 to $15.00 if its possible, plus the shipping. Needles to say, I know its a bit high for one part but he has to do a custom mold. I don't think he wants anything if he fails, so I think the price is fairly reasonable considering the time and effort he is going to expend, and if its is silicon mold material its usually not that cheap.
Finally, after reading 41 Chevy's post above, you may just want to keep an eye out for a reasonably priced Road Agent on Ebay. The polystyrene part is going to be stronger and easier to work with then the one made out of resin. Obviously, if you go this route you can always part the Road Agent out on Ebay or sell what is left of the kit and recoup some of your money. Either way, let me know what you want to do as soon as you can.
