I've got two of these and wanted to build the first one right out of the box just to see what it's like . I actually snapped it all together before doing any painting and it is a very well engineered kit and goes together with no issues . After taking it back apart I spent a couple of hours spray painting the main parts , then a couple more with a brush detailing here and there . The body was polished and cleared and I sprayed the inside with some aluminum paint , though I doubt it will be visible when it's finished . The only thing extra I did was to sand the tires and open up the exhausts . On to the decals and it should be finished shortly !

Decals applied and cleared . A heads up if you build one of these . . . the decals are very very thick and don't lay down well . Even after a couple applications of solvent the roof number still wouldn't suck down over the roof flap hinges . Next time I'm removing the hinges first .

Superb Bob. I have mine just with the engine in the chassis at the moment. Thanks for the tip about the rooftop hinges. I wonder what one would look like with Nascar decals?

That's some good detail for a caricature. You did a great job with it!

Well done Bob. I've tried some Nascar decals from another kit I have on the shelf but they are too big, the number for the roof would overlap all the way round. I've also modded the exhaust ends as well but not perhaps as neat as yours!

Very nice build, Bob, the amount of detail in the kit is impressive!
