She's finished. A few notes on the base. It came from a local bakery complete with plastic cover. A new resource! Neat! I cut a square of plastic to size and printed the gold squares to create a showroom floor. I then added (no photos of this) 6 rope standards with silver lamée rope to simulate what you may see in theatre lobbies. I then added a half dozen trophies to the display along with a tripod to hold a sign. All these items came from (I think) the amt 49 Merc. It also had plastic tweezers and a few other tools. Anyway, even with just the 'ropes' it looked too busy so I'll be content with just adding the tripod and sign at some future date. Thanx to those that followed the build.
The base from the bakery.
And the base is big enough to accommodate a tripod sign at some future date.
...and that's all she wrote. Thanks for looking in

I have to admit that this vehicle was never my favorite... ... but also that your execution and your huge efforts are terrific, hat off, masterfully built!

Cannot remember ever seeing this kit at model show. (Seen it for sale). Your fotos really showcase how much work goes into assembly and finish. Great idea for the presentation base as handling this "car" looks scary. Wonder where the real 1:1 scale Coach ended up ?

Great idea for the presentation base as handling this "car" looks scary. Wonder where the real 1:1 scale Coach ended up ? The Raiders Coach was horribly altered and now lives in Europe. According to a Facebook site for the Raider Coach, “ the Raiders Coach whereabouts throughout the 70’s is not clear. At some point in the 1980’s, customizer Jay Ohrberg purchased the car and cut it up to make what he called “The Las Vegas Dice Car.” and is now in a Pop Culture Museum in Sweden.
