I was soldering a piece of jewellery for my bride and this is what happened. There was a u Tube video of the Ice drags on one of the frozen lakes here in Maine with everything from grannies Hyundai to AA/Fuel dragsters running over 250mph. All brass. Twin turbo Corvair modified from the I Spy kit made the skis and made up the paddle snow tires. Have know idea what possessed my poor mind to build a Snow or Sand rail. All left is to fab up is the steering box and rods than off to paint.

Oh man, that’s a lot of fabrication and soldering! Nice job!! And soldering little brass bits like this isn’t easy at all...GREAT work!! I love it! Really inspiring!

Definitely a bunch of work involved , I could never do that ! What's the white stuff you've used on the rear tires ?

The paddles are just strips of Evergreen rectangular plastic. THe tires are from the Chezoom Corvair kit.

Great work! It's always good to test yourself outside the box!
BTW - did you ever get your wife's jewelry soldered?

Normal is over rated, but you didn't just slip, you leaped off the high dive! Nice job, keep us posted on progress.

WOWEE! Just Superb! My brother (10 years older than me) was a great fixer of old Radio's and Television's. An Electrical and Mechanical Engineer, he showed me how to do all manner of electrical work in the house. Due to his fixing of Radio's etc he could always do superb soldering but didn't have time to teach me before he went. A skill I would dearly want to learn even now.
