I tried to post pictures of my model on the existing Mysterion thread that shows some progress fabrication pics but it won't let me post any pictures. Here are a few shots of the finished model. Pretty happy with it. Biggest deficiency is the vacuum chrome plating on the plastic parts. I guess I should have made them more shiny before sending them off. I sent 4 racks of parts (the cost of chrome is scale as high as on the 1:1 version of the car I built!) and one came back with a slight gold hue. I haven't done much of third party model chrome so am learning. I will probably send the outside headers back with more prep since they bolt onto the motor and are the worst parts. The metal chromed parts came out great.
Bummer. I can't add any photos. Guess I am banned?

Absolutely stunning build - incredible work! I'd love to see it (and your 1:1) in person. Amazing!

Well done !! It would be so cool to get all of the 1/8th scale show rods that have been built together for a group showing !

Well done !! It would be so cool to get all of the 1/8th scale show rods that have been built together for a group showing ! It is possible. I will have this one at the GSL in Salt Lake in May, God willing. This is a pretty official venue for such a gathering and according to Mark Gustavson this will be the final GSL forever.

Very nice. Almost looks real. I have a 1/24 scale partially finished. Need to get back to it.

Superb. A modelling masterclass.
I've had success with spraying and brush painting Molotow inks for chrome plate. It's a bit whiter than kit chrome but unless the two are sat next to each other, there is no way to tell them apart.

It was great to see this model in person at the GSL. What a treat! The seminar was a hit too!
