TD Fire Iron

Okay, fresh off of the bench.
A box stock (yes, I sometimes do) of Tom Daniel's Fire Iron.





Body went unprimed under a coat of Tamiya Bright Red Mica.
With flat soft iron (Rustoleum) step panels, water tank and floorboard. Dark brown for the rear deck.




Decals were redone since the vintage box ones created unsightly silvering.
Plus, I added a little touch of flame to the mix.

You should do more box stock. This turned out fantastic. The kit has more detail than I remember. Again, nice work.

I usually do box stock when it's a vintage or classic showrod kit, and save the cuttin' for any extra re-release or standard kits.

Many of those show up on the Car-Toons site.

Just feel I need that "as it was meant to be" version on the shelf.
