Well here is the "other" hobby that has kept me from destroying plastic for the last 10 years. My son Joe Hammann and I had a great outing last weekend in Bowling Green KY at LS Fest. Came up a bit short in the opening round with a -.013 red light, but we were running an all new untested 370 C.I. bored out 6.0 Liter LS based engine and ran our best times ever with a pair of 10.55s @ low 127 mph in testing, and a 10.43, and a pair of 10.44s all with near 128 mph in qualifying. We also were able to get a handle on the suspension setting with the extra power from the rebuild so overall it was a great weekend.

The Shop Rag. I like it. Tailgate up or down?

The Shop Rag is a poke at ourselves because the amateur body work looks great from the stands but leaves a little to be desired up close. We run it without the tailgate and an aired out rear bumper. It is an absolute blast to drive. Oh by the way, if you ever get a chance to lighten a bumper or any other car part.... PASS! I have over 40 hours in it between drilling all the holes then smoothing them out in case "little darlings" decide to stick their fingers in one and putting just enough scratch on it to make paint stick without leaving huge sanding marks. I didn't realize all the time involved but once I drilled the first hole I was married to it. I'm the Fast (fat) Boy from Illinois on the right and that is my youngest son Andy next to me.

Looks like son Joe and I are SOMEBODY now. LOL. Renowned automotive artist and photog Wesley Allison took this killer shot at LS Fest East 2021.
