That is, by a comfortable margin, the best build of the Unreal Roller I have ever seen! Some really well thought out and cleanly executed mods to improve the kit, nice work.

Its fun slow!y learning how to incorporate other media like brass, aluminum and repurposing house hold widgets into a build. What better to learn on than a showrod! Still some touchups to do.

I love your take on this cool kit, and all your added details. Its nice to see when a show rod gets more or less altered from box stock. I hope its okay that I copied your wheelie roller on my roller |

Love your build, I just built mine out of the box this past Sunday. I'm not even going to post pics of it after seeing yours. I may have to steal your wheelie roller idea though now if you don't mind. Such a cool build.

Charlie, the wheelie roller seems to be the attention getter for that build! I'm over the moon that others like yourself are going to add it to their models!

The more I look at this the more I'm noticing that you added to it. Flappers on the zoomies too? Among a lot of other added on cool pieces. The more I look the build the more I notice. Nice work.

Charlie, a lot of the detailing came as the build progressed, nothing really planned ahead of time except the wheels being finished in aluminum and a couple of other things like getting rid of the coach lights and busying up the driver's area. In fact most things centered on details I recalled and imagineered from an old Hyster forklift I drove many years ago. I think the build thread is still up. Thanks for the kudos, much appreciated!! |
