Another Tom Daniel kit, Rommels Rod this time...

For a very long time, this kit was just a dream to me. Seeing adverts for the kit when it first came out inginted the flames of desire, but finding one in the UK proved a bit difficult.

Copies would turn up on Ebay back in dial up days but the prices for originals made my eyes water. Seeing the kit get reissued was a dream come true and a copy was on my bench soon after.

I stood Rommel up and changed the position of the drivers hands but other than that, it's pretty much an out the box build. Humbrol enamels used for the cammo with a bit of oil paint detailing here and there.

Those flags on the fenders seem to need refixing every time I get the kit out of its box!

Love the reinterpretation of Rommel and his driver trying to see which way to go--brilliant! Happens to be my all-time favorite kit and this is a very good build that made me smile today--thanks!
