Original MPC "Streaker Vette"

I may have posted this a couple of years ago and with Round2 recently reissuing it I thought I'd share it again . This is a survivor that I built in 1977 straight out of the box and painted it with good ol' Pactra 'Namel , no primer used or clear coat . I loved that stuff ! This was the first kit that I built when I came back from overseas and I'm very happy that it survived the last 45 years !



Here's the condition when unboxed several years ago .

Didn't notice before but it looks like the 45 yr old hood prop (toothpick) survived too !

That looks great for being 45 years old! I'm looking forward to the reissue so I can actually finish one. Totally made a hash of the one I had back then!

Thanks much ! I wish I had more that survived this well .
By the way the reissue is already out , look for #MPC973 .

Thanks ! I had pretty steady hands back then to paint all that trim , no way I can do that now .
