Been a while since I posted here. Feels good to get some TD Show Rods built again. Here is my Honest Engine build. Got the kit off of eBay last fall with no box, but otherwise a complete unbuilt kit. I've had so many of these in the past but never built one till now. So glad I finally did. Added a few extra details but pretty much box stock with the exception of the DD/TD decals... (Thanks to Tim Nolan)

I was never into this kit but seeing your build makes me think about getting one--good work!
Please explain the decals: Are they customized/created by Tim Nolan? Or were they just missing/old and he acquired a set for you?

Very well done!!!!! AS a model car builder AND a model train guy this is one of my favorites!!!!
The kit decals are just 'Honest Engine' in black for the tender sides.

Great rendition of a kit that, as it does for Dave, hits 2 (3 actually) of my favs!
And the golds in the decals work so well with your scheme and gold highlights.
Wish I had that headlight lens when I built my rescue.

Or were they just missing/old and he acquired a set for you? I beleive Tim designed them and Decal Dan produced them, or it may have been a colaberated effort of the two of them. I had them for so long it's hard to remember. It sucks getting old Dave, but it sure beats the alternative. |

It really goes together quit easy. It took less than a week. Been building some TD kits cause most don't need paint unless your customizing them in your own way. |
