Herbie the Super Love Bug

I've always liked stylized versions of the VW Beetle, so I thought I'd adapt the recent release of the Super Bug to create an different version of our favorite Disney darlin'.

Here's Herbie the Super Love Bug:

Satin Antique White with a double set of custom decals (one on white stock, under a set of clear stock).

The kit's dinky seats were replaced with a larger Revell VW set, and an interior rear deck was added. The tires and wheels are from the parts box.

Of course, here he is showing off with his signature move:

That is AMT's 1:25 Superbug as the base kit.
The chassis layout and some other bits in that kit I believe are from their Meyers Manx.

Sharp looking little Herbie Jim ! I've built a couple of those AMT kits but never cared much for the shortened body . For some reason it looks much better dressed up like Herbie , great work !
