Just looking for any advice/ideas/suppliers for some transparent coper paint to use on the new Sidewinder kit. I have one on the way and would like to do a quick OOB build, but I'm having a hard time coming up with ideas for a transparent copper paint to do any needed touch-up on the copper-plated parts. TIA for any suggestions!

OK, did some more searching and I THINK I can make Tamiya polycarbonate Copper paint work, but any other ideas are still welcome!

I would use Tamiya clear orange and a bit of Tamiya clear red to make clear copper !

Thanks, I was thinking of the Tamiya clears mixed together. I have all of the clear colors, so I can darken it if necessary. The kit should arrive tomorrow, then I can judge the actual color of the parts and work towards a good match.

OK, scratch the touch-up idea. Just got my kit and the "copper" chrome is a gaudy pinkish orange. So my quick OOB build will now include stripping ALL the plated parts and re-painting them, probably with the Tamiya RC Copper paint. Thanks for the ideas anyway!

Sure not a problem, thanks for the info... I have not opened the bottle yet as I am doing other projects on and off times... Trying to get back to model car building despite many conflicts in my path I will drop a line when I eperiment them which will be a while then.
