There is an "Insert Image" feature in the toolbar for a new post, but I never got it to work. So instead, I use Imgur.com. Before I show you that, here is what my Perplexity told me:
For posting images on your favorite discussion board using a third-party hosting service, several free options are available that are user-friendly and reliable. Here are some of the best services:
1. Imgur (see some tips below on use)
Imgur is one of the most popular image hosting sites. It allows you to upload images easily and provides direct links for sharing. How to Use:
2. Flickr
Flickr offers a community-oriented platform and allows you to organize photos into albums. The free account supports up to 1,000 photo uploads.
How to Use: Create an account, upload images, and use the provided links to share them in your posts.
3. Fokti
Fotki is a digital photo and video sharing service that allows users to store, organize, and share their media online. Launched in 1998, it has grown to become one of the largest social networking sites focused on media sharing, boasting over 1.6 million registered members and hosting more than a billion digital images as of early 2011.
4. Google Drive
While primarily a cloud storage service, Google Drive can be used to host images. You can share links to images stored in your Drive.
How to Use: Upload your images to Google Drive, set the sharing settings to "Anyone with the link," and copy the link to use in your posts.
5. Dropbox
Similar to Google Drive, Dropbox allows you to store images and share links.
How to Use: Upload images to your Dropbox account, create a shareable link, and use that link in your discussions.
These services are straightforward to use and provide the necessary functionality to host images for your discussion board posts.

I use Imgur.com. Create your account first. For reasons I don't fully understand, you have to create a "Post" in order to upload images. Here is the best technique I found. My comments are in red:
