The red glass and accents bring it all together! Gorgeous build! How did you strip just the "copper" from the chrome?

Thanks guys Watch my video on the Sidewinder, to find out how I removed the red color from the chrome. Actually quite easy....

That looks great! I’m really happy to see that the color strips off the chrome so easily and the plating looks great underneath.

Very nicely done Kim , excellent work ! I came across your video last night and am glad to see it posted here . It looks sooo much better without that crappy colored plating Atlantis added to the kit . . . makes me want to build mine now !

Kim, you have a right to be VERY happy with this build because it's outstanding. I watched the entire YouTube video and it's well done.
So, it's RUBBING ALCHOL that removes the "red" tint? Thanks for sharing that and given your results, that's what I'd do when I build this kit. Thanks for posting here and we look forward to your next build.

Thank you very much Dave, I really appriciate it. And yes, it must be rubbing alcohol. But of course I allways suggest that you try it on a piece of sprue first. But until now, I have never had any problem removing "goldplated" chrome, or this red chrome
