Not a show rod, but it puts on a nice show. The Dark Rider, aka Lindberg's 1:16 scale Bull Horn:
It sat partially started in my someday pile for maybe a dozen years. I finally gave in, even tho there's no space for it on the shelf. It's kinda big.
The only reference pics of build-ups I found were all painted to match the box art.
I have enough red vehicles at the moment, so I went with pearl periwinkle and black. Hard to see, but the block is dark pearl purple.
That meant I needed to redo the decals (which is fine, since I used the Bull Horn decals on some other kit). The kit windshield frame and two part "glass" bits didn't match the rake of the top, so I trimmed the supports and fit in a single piece acrylic replacement.
All in all, I'm happy with the result. This is my first go with a model in this scale, and there is a Serpent in the pile.
