this is my friend greg's 57 chevy. this car sat in a garage from 1978 until 2004 when he bought it. he paid $8,000.00 for it, and it was a finished running car. the engine was a 327, it had the 4 speed in it, and it needed paint. he gutted the car, had it painted (it was red laquer from the 70's before, and it looked decent. the paint just had alot of cracks, chips & scratches in it). he basically did a frame on resto of the car. all the suspension is re-built, the interior is all original and the car is solid. the engine now is a 383 stroker with dual quads, and it still has the 4 speed in it. he's going to put some cragars or america 5 spoke mags on it soon, and i am trying to talk him into raising the rear end of the car just a little bit. it's sitting too low in the back right now in my opinion. the rear springs are new, but the car still sits too low in the back. he's still working on it, and he has some minor things to do to it over the winter. he's an indianapolis cop, and a hot rodder. this car does great burnouts...lol
