Here's an old pic of my hobby Benches. To the right is a $99. PC desk, a chair in between the bench and shelf i built. Which has become a catchall. My "Bitchin'Collection."

Hey, I saw some space still there on the desk! ;D A few pics of my work area, which I get to share (so far) with the furnace & laundry machines (not to mention the cats' dirtboxes, so I won't mention that): An old drafting table now being used to do most of the work. Usually it looks worse than this, but this is because, for once, I've only got one project sitting on it! The rack that's behind me, filled with paints, more kits waiting their turn, and other stuff (spare parts, etc). Plus the bottom rack is where one of the cats likes to sit and beg for my attention ... if I put anything in that space, she pushes it out! And last, my main stash of Saving For When I'm Retired stuff! That middle bottom stack is hiding kits behind it too.

I work in a really small area too guys, in a walk-in closet upstairs. Fortunately I'm small, and it's kind of cozy, but I'd love to have a ROOM to work in! I do all of my paintwork/grinding in my garage workshop though to save on the dust and mess.

Badseed, those pics are cool on all kinds of levels! For starters, I'm wondering if you've had that Easy Rider poster for a long time or recently purchased it. I can remember my older brothers having that and some other really cool old posters hanging on their walls into their upper teens. I can still remember the ads to buy them in comic books too. And that Red Baron poster! Holy Cow is that awesome! I'm planning on building my showcases similar to your setup once I get my shop built hopefully next year. I want to have an upstairs so the real stuff will be down in the shop and the toys will be upstairs in my hobby room/office. Ah the dreams! But I like the way everything is laid out and displayed! Very nice and thank you for sharing, it's very inspiring!

That is really nice, especially with the glass shelves!! We have a spare bedroom upstairs that needs to have its uglier-than-sin wallpaper stripped off (or take the easy way out and put something over it), and that's where I want to put the models on display, rather than be scattered all around the place. Basement laundry rooms can get cold in winter, so maybe a new workbench up there too! Sounds like a good stuck-indoors-because-its-winter project.

Very cool story! I wish I still had some of those posters. I remember another that was done in like a fuscia (if I spelled that right) of the Outlaw Josie Wales. He had his guns and the bullet wrapped shoulders. It was definitely cool looking! Another of when I was a monster fan was a huge letter box style of King Kong standing over New York holding the lady! I also did notice the original Boothill poster. I guess I didn't comment because I own quite a few of them. I have 2 of the original mailer tubes with the poster still in them having never been removed other than myself to check the posters over. Well, I guess the original owner probably had them out at one time. The mailer labels still tell what posters the original owner ordered. I also have a complete set that is loose but had been hung up and have tack holes. I'm a big TD fan and a historian I guess...LOL! TD kits and such were how I got back into collecting/building models but the collection has evolved to include tons of showcar, drag car, character kits, hot rods and all sorts of stuff that is buried and I can't remember at this point. A.J. thanks guys, A.J. that easy rider poster is from 1970,i got it about 10 years ago.back in 1970 i was in the 6th grade and i remember doing a book report on the book easy rider not the movie i had not seen the movie yet. the red baron poster is a blow up i did from a much smaller picture,i also did one of the munster coach, did you happen to notice the original boothill express 1968 store poster next to the red baron?
